The Airport's Noise Program

Easy!

Simple one-time registration. All your personal data is retained and attached to any new complaint or incident you file.

Personal Information

Hard!

You must fill out each complaint form with ALL your personal data. (They make it hard so you won't complain as much)

Our Complaint forms have photos, video and more. Detail They ask for tail numbers? Are they kidding? Can you really catch those flying by at 200 mph and 800ft?
Report numerous Incidents quickly with our fast form. Pre-filled personal info, time and date. Check. Add a few notes and Incident Reports are done in seconds. Ease of Use One at a time. Sometimes not even web-based.
File complaints and incidents - Free. All of them. Cost Well, if you have to send a letter...44 cents. And another...44 cents. Etc.
Public, transparent reporting of complaints. You can SEE other's complaint issues and how many people, like you, are complaining. And...get in touch with them to join forces. Usefulness It seems all you're doing is providing them with data to avoid legal issues and prevent changes to their status-quo. Many airport's complaints only stay in-house - where few see them.
Everything is databased. Wonder how many complaints you've made? Or others in your Airport Group? It's here. Has an old problem come-back? You can research previous complaints / issues and possible solutions - no need to re-invent the wheel. Did the airport director just say on the evening news they've never heard of an old/new issue? Well that's easily disproved with documents hosted here. Archive It's unlikely you're ever getting that nicely written complaint back. Unless maybe it's via legal discovery.
Bad-Air is about setting previously hidden information free so that others can build upon it. Access to complaint and incident data can help prove and document issues so you can effect change. Bad-Air tries* to copy certain affected parties on the complaints we receive. the FAA, your Senators, local airport authorites, etc. (see Data Reporting for more info) Thus, your one complaint, can go several places. You can also opt-out of reporting. One stone, two birds One stone, one buried stone.
You can edit, amend and supplement your complaints. You can sort them, print them, mail them and/or publicize them. You can easily refer and share with others your complaint(s) on the web. You control your complaint data - not the airports. Control Nada. Nothing. You send it, that's it.
Each airport in the U.S. has a group at Bad-Air.org that can share documents, photos, videos,  petitions, complaints, and incidents. Each group member also has their own blog, can start discussions, polls and wiki pages and add events to the group calendar. You needed a war-room, this is it. Collaborate I don't think so.

* This is a complicated process for which Bad-Air will do it's best to accomplish.
